About Us
InfoSense, Inc.
Our name is derived from a blending of “Information Sensors” to reflect our motivation to create new sensor applications that provide critical information to better our environment.
InfoSense, Inc. is a technology-driven corporation formed in 2007 out of University of North Carolina – Charlotte to commercialize a patent-pending acoustic inspection technology.
In 2009, we received a National Science Foundation grant for extending that technology to our stationary SL-CAT product. Since that time, our mobile SL-RAT product has proven its ability to detect blockages and focus cleaning efforts with a major U.S. waste water utility. Over 500 miles of pipe have been inspected so far.
Our patent-pending technology uses sound waves to non- invasively detect blockages in segments of sewer collection pipe by either quickly inserting a portable transmitter and receiver into either end of the pipe or thru a network of stationary devices that can maintain continuous assessment.
